Case Summary:

This EB-1B (Outstanding Professors and Researchers) case involved an R&D Scientist working in the field of bioanalytical chemistry. He hired North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to help him obtain a green card, and his employer—a private company—agreed to serve as his petitioner.

Our client is currently developing analytical methods for investigating several properties of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), specifically their toxicity and electron transfer capability, as well as developing platforms for the bioanalysis of drugs. We worked diligently to prove that his original investigations clearly benefit the medical and pharmaceutical industries in the United States, and that their applications positively affect the health of Americans. We bolstered our EB-1B petition packet by incorporating information on our client’s Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology (to prove that he is well equipped with the knowledge and skills to carry out complex research studies) and details of the 44 citations to his 7 publications (to establish that his research is beneficial to other bioanalytical chemists). Our legal team also highlighted the 13 times our client offered his insights to other researchers through peer reviews. To make this EB-1B case even more airtight, we included six recommendation letters provided by experts in the field. One of these letters stated, “[Client’s] work has already provided invaluable information to other researchers investigating the mechanisms of SWCNTs, and the continuance of his work will certainly provide yet more unique advantages to America in regards to bioanalysis.”

Our legal team raised a service request when the adjudication timeframe went beyond the normal processing time, and a couple of days later, the USCIS approved our client’s EB-1B petition. Soon after, we helped our client and his wife file their I-485 applications, and we look forward to the approval of their permanent residency.
