Case Summary:

Not long ago, North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) filed an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition on behalf of a senior engineer from India. Our client’s copious accomplishments in the field of electrical engineering made him a suitable candidate for this visa category. Here are some of the things that we listed in our well-thought-out EB1A petition dossier:

  1. Breakdown of Our Client’s Qualifications:

With an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, our client possessed the dexterity and knowledge to accomplish unparalleled research goals. Furthermore, the years that he has spent perfecting his work in the field of electrical engineering has led to a dozen published scientific articles and 216 citations to his work. The 15 reviews that he conducted for various acclaimed journals also furnished the USCIS with evidence that his insights are held in very high esteem by other influential electrical engineers.

  1. Recommendation Letters:

We encouraged our client to reach out to other experts in his field for recommendation letters. We used these letters to bolster our EB1A case by highlighting the fact that various engineers around the world had progressed their research thanks to our client’s findings. These letters also supported our claim that our client’s development of novel solutions to improve the cost and power efficiencies for high performance wireline and wireless communication systems greatly benefit the United States.

  • “[Client] exhibits qualities and research abilities that elevate him over other researchers working in the same area.” (Excerpt from the letter contributed by a prominent assistant professor)
  • “[Client] has made important and significant contributions to the field of wireless communication systems. The U.S. benefits tremendously from the talents of [Client].” (Statement made by a senior director of a semiconductor corporation)
  • “[Client’s] history of success in both publications and research is a mark of distinction that signals a future in which he continues to be a key member of the scientific community in the United States.” (Quoted from the testimonial contributed by a distinguished professor)

EB-1A Approval:

Nine days after we submitted our EB-1A petition to the USCIS, our client decided that he wanted to upgrade his case to Premium Processing. 11 days after the upgrade, he received an approval notice from Nebraska Service Center. Although it costs more, a major benefit of filing one’s petition under Premium Processing is that the USCIS has to take action on the case within 15 days. This trims down a significant amount of time from the overall processing timeline, making it a good option for EB-1 petitioners who are hesitant to wait 4-9 months for a response from the USCIS. We are currently helping our client put together an I-485 application (final step in the green card process, and we look forward to helping him obtain a green card.
