Success Stories: EB-1A Petition Approved in 5 Days for Postdoctoral Research Associate from China in the Field of Condensed Matter Physics

Client’s Testimonial:

“Thanks for your hard work.”

On March 8th, 2016, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Research Scientist in the Field of Cancer Pharmacology (Approval Notice).

General Field: Condensed Matter Physics

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Research Associate

Country of Origin: China

Service Center: Nebraska Service Center (NSC)

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Iowa

Approval Notice Date: March 8th, 2016

Processing Time: 5 Days (Premium Processing Requested)

Case Summary:

A postdoctoral research associate from China received an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval notice from the USCIS just five days after we filed the case on his behalf. Although the rapid adjudication was largely due to Premium Processing, we have no doubt that our client’s strong credentials and our meticulous presentation lent a hand in the case approval.

As expected, we did not encounter any speedbumps when putting together this strong EB-1A petition, which contained a wealth of information on our client’s various professional and academic triumphs. We listed the 34 times he offered his insights to other researchers in his field of condensed matter physics via peer reviews, the over two dozen publications to his name, and the staggering 1061 citations gathered from his research findings.

As part of our services, we also accounted for our client’s many research ventures on the mechanisms driving high temperature superconductivity in superconductor materials and characterizing the electronic properties of superconductors. We then demonstrated to the USCIS that our client’s work helps identify new unconventional superconductors for use in medical diagnostics and the American energy industry.

To further fortify our well-balanced EB1A presentation, we urged our client to reach out to other influential physicists for recommendation letters. We incorporated these letters into our petition packet and used them as additional evidence proving the value of our client’s work to the United States. Here is part of what one of his recommenders wrote: “The greatness of [Client’s] achievements indicate that he still has much to offer to the global community of condensed matter physics by way of research. Therefore, he should be allowed to remain in the United States, where he has access to the best resources available. Should his work be halted, the many scientists around the world who rely on his findings in their own research would be at a severe loss.”

In Conclusion:

Overall, it was a pleasure working with our client on his EB-1A petition, and North America Immigration Law Group thanks him for selecting us to represent his case. We would like to congratulate him on his petition approval and wish him well as he partakes in the final step of the green card process: the I-485 application.
