Case Summary:

A prominent research assistant from China engaged the services of North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to help him and his wife become permanent residents. Before obtaining their green cards, there are two steps that they have to successfully overcome: filing an I-140 petition and filing I-485 applications.

Before initiating the contract, we had to determine if our client qualified to partake in the first portion of the green card process: filing an I-140 petition. After carefully reviewing his credentials, we determined that he did, and that he could file his petition under the EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) visa category. After an attorney-client relationship was established, our legal team and support staff worked diligently to put together a solid EB-1A petition dossier for our client. We noted the 713 citations to his work, the 20 publications to his name, and the 30 times he judged the work of his peers. What’s more, we accounted for his research efforts on the development of heterojunction and metal-semiconductor junction composite materials, crystal structure photocatalysts, oxyhalide visible-light responsive photocatalysts, surface-enhanced nanostructured electrodes, and a photoelectrochemical solar energy conversion system. Using the information that we had gathered, we concluded that our client’s work is of great important to the United States, particularly its energy sector.
