“Thank you so much for your kindly help.”

On July 26th, 2016, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Field of Polymer Science (Approval Notice).

General Field: Polymer Science

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Research Associate

Country of Origin: China

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Tennessee

Approval Notice Date: July 26th, 2016

Processing Time: 8 Days (Premium Processing Requested)

Case Summary:

With 17 peer-reviewed articles and two book chapters to his name as well as a myriad of other professional and academic accomplishments, our client met all the requirements to file his I-140 petition under EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability). Before initiating an attorney-client relationship, North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) evaluated his credentials to be sure that we could build a solid case on his behalf and once we confirmed that we could, a binding contract was signed by both parties.

So what do our I-140 services entail? Amongst other things, we were responsible for helping our client select a handful of recommenders who could contribute strong recommendation letters to strengthen his EB-1A petition. We made sure that these recommenders were influential members of the polymer science research community, had worked with our client and/or were familiar with his work. Once we helped our client narrow down his recommender list, we urged him to contact them for testimonials. This is what one of his recommenders signed off on: “[Client] is certainly one of the most advanced minds working in polymer science, and the continued improvement of the field is heavily dependent upon his unimpeded work.”

Besides helping our client select suitable recommenders, we also carefully accounted for his research projects on the design and synthesis of polymers with unconventional architectures for use in industrial applications such as drug delivery, nanoparticle fabrication, and the development of smart materials. Based on what we learned, we demonstrated to the USCIS that our client’s work is applied to a wide array of disciplines here in the United States including medicine, materials science, and chemistry. To further fortify his EB-1A petition, we also noted the 138 citations to his work and the more than 40 times he judged the work of his peers for an array of scientific journals.

Thanks to Premium Processing (PP), our client received notification of case approval just 8 days after filing. We congratulate him for surpassing this milestone in the long journey towards a green card, and we wish him the best with the final step: filing an I-485 application.
