Case Summary:
A bioinformatics research analyst from China hired North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to file two I-140 petitions on his behalf: one under EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) and the other under EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver). Despite being two very different visa categories, they are both means to the same end goal: obtaining a green card.

What did the petitions contain?
Our client’s EB-1A and EB-2 NIW petitions were composed of a myriad of information pertaining to his experience in the field of bioinformatics. From his citation count (130 citations at the time of filing) to his peer review experience (26 peer reviews conducted for various scientific journals), we detailed it all. We also noted our client’s impressive publication record: 9 English journal articles and conference proceedings, 9 peer-reviewed Chinese journal articles with English abstracts, two book chapters, and 8 patents.
Another overlapping element of our client’s two petitions was the inclusion of six recommendation letters, all gathered from other experts in the field. These letters verified the significance of our client’s work on novel signal processing algorithms and the development of new software and tools that are capable of analyzing image and video signals, microwave remote sensing data processing, and digital signals from proteomics data, metabolomics data, genetic variant data, and other bioinformatics resources.
