Client’s Testimonial:

“Thank you so much for your email and amazing supports.”

On April 10th, 2017, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Petitioner in the Field of Mechanical Engineering (Approval Notice).

General Field: Mechanical Engineering

Position at the Time of Case Filing: N/A

Country of Origin: Iran

Service Center: Nebraska Service Center (NSC)

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: California

Approval Notice Date: April 10th, 2017

Processing Time: 6 months, 19 days

Case Summary:

Exactly 6 months and 19 days after North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) filed an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition on behalf of an Iranian mechanical engineering expert, the USCIS approved his case. When our client first approached us, we did not take on his case right away and instead, carefully evaluated his credentials to be sure that we could help him secure the national interest waiver. Once we confirmed that we could, we initiated an attorney-client relationship and started building a strong NIW petition for him.

Part of our services included helping our client select recommenders to support his case. We made sure that the shortlisted candidates were experts in the field, familiar with our clients 3 publications, and/or had worked with him. Once we had narrowed down the list, our client contacted them for recommendation letters and six of them agreed to lend their support. We have no doubt that these letters of support played an important role in securing petition approval as they subjectively backed up our arguments in the visa application package which we submitted to the USCIS. The following quote is excerpted from one of these letters: “In view of this record, and [Client’s] impressive abilities, both intellectual and technical, I can predict that he will continue in the same vein, planning and performing intellectually rigorous and technically superb work on the most pressing problems in combustion science.”

Alongside these recommendation letters were: (1) information on our client’s work on the interdisciplinary study, simulation, and optimization of next-generation combustion strategies and system, (2) his citation record (42 citations at the time of filing), and (3) supporting evidence such as copies of our client’s diplomas and CV.

Based on all the information we gathered, we were able to prove to the USCIS that our client’s work contributes to the United States’ automotive combustion and propulsion system designs, energy solutions, emissions cutbacks, environmental and climatic health, and overall economy. We congratulate him for securing the national interest waiver, and we wish him the best as he waits for the USCIS to take action on his I-485 application (which we also filed on his behalf).
