Case Summary:

A well-known postdoctoral fellow from China hired North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) to file an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition on his behalf. As EB-1A is one of the toughest visa categories to obtain approval, we carefully evaluated his credentials before confirming that we could build a strong case for him. We worked diligently to prove to the USCIS that our client deserved to have his case approved. These are some of the key points that we focused on:

2. Publication Record & Citation Count: At the time of filing, our client had published 38 peer-reviewed journal and conference articles, all of which appeared in top-rated scientific journals. The significance of his work can be ascertained from the 198 citations his publications had gathered at the time of filing
3. Peer Review Experience: Our client had already conducted 18 peer reviews for some of the most esteemed scientific journals in the field. His notable peer review record proved that his opinions and ideas are highly respected by his peers and that he holds a leadership position in the field.

To support our argument that our client is one of only a small handful of experts who have risen to the top of the field, we included 4 recommendation letters signed by other optical engineering experts and incorporated them into his petition packet. These letters—like the one mentioned below—made some very cogent arguments regarding his achievements and the various ways in which they benefit the USA:

“Considering its wide reach, optical engineering is an essential element to the scientific and economic progress of the United States… [Client] is a prominent and essential figure to the progression of the optical engineering field due to his fiber optic and laser discoveries.”
