A recent client of ours was described as “a researcher in atmospheric physics whose diverse talents and encyclopedic grasp of science set her apart from her peers.” This statement was made by a prominent associate professor whose recommendation letter played an important role in securing our client the national interest waiver. This professor was not alone in his show of support and was joined by four of his peers, all of whom contributed recommendation letters of their own. We have no doubt that these letters paved the way for case approval, and we are pleased that our client persuaded these influential physicists to support her EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition.
Besides these letters of recommendation, our client’s comprehensive NIW petition packet was composed of information related to her work on theory and modeling of atmospheric sprites. Although our client waited a little longer than expected for notification of case approval (10.5 months), we are pleased that she has overcome this significant hurdle in the green card process. We congratulate her on this win and wish her the best as she waits for the USCIS to take action on her I-485 application. Once approved, she will become a US permanent resident.
