Case Summary:

With an M.Sc.in Mechanical Engineering and ample experience conducting research in the field of applied physics, a doctoral candidate from Iran was a good fit for the national interest waiver. Exactly 9 months after North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) filed an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition for him, he received notification of case approval, which brought him one step closer to a green card.

Building a strong NIW case:

Our goal was to prove to the USCIS that our client is an asset to the United States, and we did this by presenting a personalized NIW case. Referencing on our client’s unique background, we focused on a strategy that highlighted his strengths and various achievements in the field. For instance, we listed the 49 times his 10 publications were cited and the 4 times he conducted peer reviews for a prominent scientific journal. Furthermore, we detailed his work on the application of physical principles to the resolution of problems posed by the mechanics of fluids at the nanoparticle level.

Our extensive experience working on over 10,000 successful I-140 cases taught us plenty about USCIS adjudication trends. This allowed us to confidently build a customized case for our client within several months. We are pleased that our diligent efforts convinced the USCIS that our client’s work is of great importance to American technological and economic concerns. Backing up our argument was an influential physicist who contributed a recommendation letter in support of our client’s NIW petition. The letter stated that our client’s work “has an impact that reaches many of the diverse applications to which these technologies are relevant. These facts, along with the United States’ substantial ongoing investment in nanotechnologies, make it clear that [Client’s] work is highly valuable to the country.” He was joined by five of his peers, all of whom volunteered recommendation letters of their own.

We have helped thousands of clients from various research fields obtain I-140 petition approval, and we are pleased that this approved NIW petition brought yet another client closer to green card success.  We congratulate him for securing the national interest waiver, and we wish him the best as he continues to progress the field of applied physics.
