Client’s Testimonial:

“Thank you so much! I really appreciate your hard and efficient work.”

On July 30th, 2018, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Visiting Scholar in the Field of Health Psychology (Approval Notice).

General Field: Health Psychology

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Visiting Scholar

Country of Origin: Iran

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: California

Approval Notice Date: July 30th, 2018

Processing Time: 4 months, 25 days

Case Summary:
Exactly 4 months and 25 days after North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) filed a customized EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition on behalf of an Iranian visiting scholar, the USCIS approved her case. The approval of our client’s NIW petition proves that one size does not fit all, and that it is crucial to customize I-140 petition dossiers according to each client’s strengths. As we have helped over 10,000 clients get closer to their green card dreams, we undoubtedly have unprecedented insight into building winning petitions.

Among other things, we paid special attention to our client’s publication record and citation count. We also noted our client’s Ph.D. in Health Psychology and the impact that her research has on the field, particularly when it comes to behavioral medicine. As evidence of this, we not only accounted for her research efforts, we also submitted an employment letter attesting to her current employment as a visiting scholar and a personal statement confirming her future research plans. Moreover, we provided a wealth of insight into the merit of our client’s work on understanding the behaviors essential to maintaining one’s health.

In a bid to further fortify our client’s NIW petition, we included recommendation letters signed by a handful of other well-known health psychologists. According to one of them—an assistant clinical professor—our client is “addressing real-world needs with her research.” This recommender also noted that our client’s research “is essential to public health due to its focus on behavioral modification centered in primary care clinics.”

Besides recommendation letters, we worked diligently to prove that our client’s work holds significant implications for the United States’ ability to keep healthy and keep medical costs down. Not only did we prove that our client is an asset to the nation, we also emphasized that it would be detrimental to the country should her work be hindered in any way.

We are pleased that the USCIS approved our client’s NIW petition and that she is now on the second and final step of the green card process: filing an I-485 application. We thank her for retaining us to help her with this, and we wish her the best as she continues to improve the field of health psychology.
