Her work had focused specifically on eliminating language and cultural barriers for the Chinese community in the United States by publishing articles in both Chinese and English language, publishing op-ed editorials on national and global events, editing local, national, Chinese, and international news articles in English and Chinese, and publishing articles on historic Chinese folklore and culture.  We successfully demonstrated that her continued employment in the field would benefit those in her field, as well as the citizens of the United States at large.
