Case Summary:

In this case, the client that we had the pleasure of working with was a Postdoctoral Fellow from China in the field of proteomics.  His specialized research had focused on the mechanisms and functions of proteins relevant to neurodegenerative disease and food crop output.  This work had resulted in at least 5 peer-reviewed scientific articles and numerous presentations at international conferences. At the time that his case was filed, these publications been cited at least 269 times by independent and leading researchers from prestigious institutions and organizations around the world, indicating the major significance of his work.  He had also reviewed at least 22 manuscripts for distinctive, internationally-circulated journals in his field.  His superior level of achievement was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender, “The international scope and utility of [his] research in determining the mechanism underlying the molecular chaperones maintaining protein homeostasis is remarkable and it is evident that his work is very valuable to the entire world. The numerous citations to his papers internationally prove that other researchers agree that [his] findings are imperative to the reduction of harm caused by Huntington’s, Alzheimer’s, and other neurodegenerative diseases. This effects populations everywhere because these neurodegenerative issues are strongly linked to aging. [His] research is the building block for other researchers to develop drugs against these devastating diseases.” It was our goal to prove that our client qualified for classification as an Alien of Extraordinary Ability given that he sought to remain in the United States to continue work in the area of proteomics, and that his continued research would substantially and prospectively benefit the United States. With the proof and documentation that we provided, his case was approved in just 27 days.
