Exactly 3 months after North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) filed an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition on behalf of a postdoctoral fellow from China, she received notification of case approval. EB-1A is a very stringent visa category that requires extensive evidence to establish the petitioner’s sustained national or international acclaim and extraordinary ability in their chosen field. In order to ensure that our client met the EB1A criteria, we put together a petition dossier that contained the following information:
– We highlighted our client’s notable contributions to the field of molecular biology as witnessed in the 5 peer-reviewed scientific articles published in highly esteemed journals. These publications had garnered 133 citations at the time of filing, which proved the relevant nature of her studies.
– Furthermore, our client had conducted 50 peer reviews for various journals, which highlighted the fact that her judgment is valued by her peers in the scientific community.
– In order to bolster the above information, we encouraged her to collect recommendation letters from other top-level experts. The 6 letters that she collected contained persuasive statements in favor of her continued stay in the country, one of which is especially noteworthy as it contextualizes her research: “[Client]’s work is particularly concerned with breast cancer, the second leading cause of cancer death among U.S. women. In this sense, her work has supported the improvement of public health throughout the United Sates and contributed valuable findings to the United States’ cancer research community”
Although our client’s EB1A was issued a Request for Evidence (RFE), we worked diligently to overcome this hurdle. We responded to the RFE in a prompt and efficient manner, which eventually led to notification of EB1A approval. We congratulate our client for coming this far in the green card process, and we thank her for retaining our Immigrant Visa Processing (IVP) services. IVP is the final step in the green card process for applicants residing outside of the USA. To learn more, please visit http://www.wegreened.com/Immigrant-Visa-Processing
