A postdoctoral researcher based in Texas recently received EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) petition approval. Thanks to the customized EB1A petition which we put together for our client, she is now much closer to green card success. All that stands in her way toward a green card is the I-485 application.
What did the EB1A petition contain?
We worked diligently to collect data pertaining to our client’s work in the field of immunology. By the time we were ready to file her petition, we had plenty of information on her specialized research on defining the immune factors that determine the outcome of infectious diseases and cancers. We then build a solid EB1A case that proved our client’s work is particularly original, with applications in both diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for numerous human maladies. We backed this up by listing the 316 times her 13 publication were cited as well as the 13 times she had assessed the work of her peers.
Alongside the aforementioned information were recommendation letters signed by other influential members of the immunology research community. These letters played an important role in securing petition approval as they provided the USCIS with subjective evidence that our client is an asset to the US. For instance, this is what one of our client’s recommenders had to say about her: “With these factors in mind, and the understanding that [Client] occupies a leadership role among immunologists, there can be no doubt that it is in the best interest of the United States to allow her to continue her research.”
Although our client had a strong case, the USCIS issued a Request for Evidence (RFE), to which we rapidly responded. We successfully dealt with all hesitations about our client’s credentials and qualifications, and we are happy to list her case among our many success stories.
We congratulate our client for coming this far in the green card process, and we thank her for working with us.
