“Thanks for your wonderful work regarding my case.”
General Field: Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Research Associate
Country of Origin: India
Service Center: Nebraska Service Center (NSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Kansas
Approval Notice Date: March 15th, 2016
Processing Time: 2 months, 28 days (Premium Processing Requested)
90 days after we filed an EB-1B (Outstanding Professors and Researchers) petition on our client’s behalf, we received an approval notice from the USCIS. Although it takes an average of 4-9 months for the USCIS to take action on a petition, we received rapid adjudication because our client chose to upgrade her case to Premium Processing approximately 2.5 months after we initially submitted the petition. She received notification of case approval merely a week after the upgrade.
As EB-1B is an employer-sponsored visa category, our client’s employer—a university—served as the petitioner. Based on our client’s credentials, it seemed that we had a strong EB1B case, and we worked diligently to convince the USCIS that our client’s petition deserved to be approved. We documented our client’s publication record, which at the time of filing stood at six peer-reviewed scientific articles, one book chapter, and five presentations at national and international conferences. We also noted her citation record (42 citations) and peer review experience (6 reviews for 4 prominent scientific journals). Most importantly, we demonstrated the value of our client’s research to the United States. We started by carefully reviewing her various research ventures on improving the long-term stability of vaccines and other pharmaceutically active products, such as any proteins, DNA, macromolecular structures, viruses or virus-like particles, or bacterial cells that are ascribed a medical use. Based on what we learned, we firmly outlined the many benefits that her research brings to the United States, particularly to its pharmaceutical and medical sectors.
Besides detailing our client’s professional accomplishments, we incorporated recommendation letters signed by other leaders in the field of pharmaceutical chemistry. These letters furnished the USCIS with solid proof that our client’s findings impact the work of American and international researchers who are doing all they can to advance the field as a whole. One of her recommenders described her as “… respected by those working within her concentration, and her opinion is held in high-regard. She is a distinguished researcher who stands out among the rest for her consistently reliable research reports. I support her wholeheartedly, and I recommend that her work be considered a priority.”
We are pleased that our efforts and our client’s favorable credentials paved the way for case approval. North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) recently submitted I-485 applications for our client and her spouse. We hope for a favorable outcome and wish our client the very best with her continued investigations.
