Case Summary:

In this case, the client that North America Immigration Law GroupWeGreened.com had the opportunity to work with was an Associate Professor in South Korea in the field of Economics. His work has focused specifically on the application of various algorithmic tools and functions to achieving an unprecedented level of accuracy in predicting the potential risk of failure associated with financial assets. Specifically, he focused on implementing a new, high-performance distribution function, a type of mathematical factor, into many financial prediction models in order to enhance those models’ accuracy. We successfully demonstrated that his continued employment in Economics would benefit those in his field, as well as the citizens of the United States at large. In order for our client’s case to be successful, we submitted extensive documentation proving his highly significant contributions to his field, including 8 English-language peer-reviewed scientific articles (in addition to 20 Korean-language articles) and 1 book chapter. His publications had been cited at least 55 times at the time we filed the case; nearly all of the citations were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field. The significance of his work was confirmed in the following quote from a recommender, “[Client] is indeed a very thoughtful econometrician with superior technical skill, and the financial health of the United States would benefit greatly from having access to his talents. Indeed, while the impact of the work [he] has done in his native South Korea has been global in nature, his presence in the U.S. would only increase American economists’ abilities to predict financial outcomes.” Through extensive documentation, we were able to successfully argue that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW petition was approved in 6 months and 2 days.
