Client’s Testimonial:

“Thanks for your reply and help on my visa application.”

On September 22nd, 2017, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Research Scientist in the Field of Biochemistry (Approval Notice).

General Field: Biochemistry

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Research Scientist

Country of Origin: China

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Outside the US

Approval Notice Date: September 22nd, 2017

Processing Time: 10 months, 27 days

Case Summary:

North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) is pleased to note that we successfully helped a Chinese research scientist secure EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval. Although it took a little longer than the norm (11 months instead of 4-9 months), we are glad that everything went off without a hitch.

To prove that our client deserved the national interest waiver, we worked meticulously to showcase her various achievements in the field of biochemistry. For one, we used Google Scholar to determine her citation count at the time of filing: 81 citations. We also listed the 17 peer-reviewed journal articles (9 of them first-authored), 4 conference articles, and one Chinese patent in her name. Further, we detailed her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences and projects on understanding and improving various qualities of functional food.

After months of hard work, we managed to put together a complete NIW petition dossier that highlighted the various benefits of our client’s work, most notably to public health in America. To demonstrate that we were not the only ones who wanted our client to receive the national interest waiver, we urged her to contact her peers for recommendation letters. Not long after, she returned with five signed letters, all of which supported the significance of her work. As an example, this is what one of her recommenders, an associate professor, had to say about her: “Based on the quality of her research so far, as well as her respected reputation among her fellows as shown through the extensive citation of her work [Client] can certainly be expected to continue this course of success in the years ahead. Her expert examinations in biochemistry reveal that she is scientist of rare ability, and the immediate usage of her new findings in subsequent research further highlights her overall impact in the field.”

We congratulate our client for coming this far in the green card process, and we thank her for choosing to work with our law firm. We wish her the best as she continues to advance the field of biochemistry, and we look forward to helping her adjust her status for permanent residence when her priority date becomes current.
