Client’s Testimonial:

“I am thankful to you for all your services.”

On January 8th, 2018, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Ph.D Student in the Field of Electrical Engineering (Approval Notice).

General Field: Electrical Engineering

Position at the Time of Case Filing:   Ph.D. Student

Country of Origin: Iran

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Colorado

Approval Notice Date: January 8th, 2018

Processing Time: 9 months, 24 days

Case Summary:

Nearly 10 months after North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) filed an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition for a  Ph.D. Student in Colorado, the USCIS approved it. With an M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and ample experience progressing the field of electrical engineering, it came as no surprise that our client met the NIW standard set by Matter of Dhanasar.

As is the norm, we worked closely with our client to customize his NIW petition. Our goal was to make it unique, and we did this by basing our legal strategy on our client’s research background, accomplishments in the field, and skills and expertise. With over 10,000 case approvals in the bag, we have helped enough clients to have firsthand knowledge of any changes the USCIS makes when adjudicating cases. Furthermore, the likelihood of us securing petition approval was very high as we had petitioned multiple similar cases in the past.

By the time we were ready to file our client’s NIW case, we had gathered an array of information related to his work on developing behavior-adapted, closed-loop deep brain stimulation (DBS) systems. We convinced the USCIS that our client’s work is being implemented by the healthcare sector as these systems are frequently used to treat specific neurological conditions. We also listed the 43 times our client’s 6 publications were cited along with the 10 times he assessed the work of his peers.

Another way we persuaded the USCIS to approve our client’s NIW case was by incorporating recommendation letters into his well-crafted petition dossier. These 6 letters were signed by other influential electrical engineers and highlighted the fact that our client possesses considerable experience and expertise in a highly-specialized field. According to one of these recommenders, our client is “enhancing the understanding of subjects in electrical engineering, but he is also demonstrating real-world results that affect the medical industries.”

We are pleased that our diligent efforts led to NIW petition approval, and we thank our client for choosing us to represent his NIW case.
